My buddy has and Irish and an American passport. He's worked here before on the American passport, but prior to the new background check rules. Given the hassle that is the FBI check, would it be feasible for him to get a visa on the Irish passport on whatever national level check they have there?
I;m assuming the Irish check would be quicker/easier to process than the FBI check, though he is currently residing in the states.
Oh and he got his degrees in the states as well. |

If he hasn't worked on his Irish passport he will need to do his interview in Ireland as well as get his CRC from Ireland and get it apostilled there.
If he does it in the states, at least he gets it all done in one country, doesn't need the interview and the delays and difficulties are not that much worse (unless he as a positive finding on his FBI check then doing it all in Ireland makes sense.

I think it would be better for your friend to use his American passport if he wants his pension refunded |
