The secret code is SATA (Serial ATA) and as far as I can see it should work fine. |

Quick answer is YES.
A SATA drive will fit into and be compatible with that computer.

Replacing the current hard drive will be fine. You may have a problem if you want to add another hard drive, since that case looks rather small. |

Thanks for the replies.
When I put the new hard drive in is the process of putting Windows on the same as when I reinstalled Windows? I insert the Windows re-instillation DVD and follow the prompts? Or do I have to buy a new OS?
..
The current hard drive failed on me a few weeks ago. It would not boot up. It made a clicking sound. I had not backed up my data. I read that putting the drive in the freezer for a day may give me enough life to start it up long enough to pull off my data. It worked. I got about 5 hours of life out of it. The frozen hard drive trick worked for me. FYI. |
