Should I need a vaccination for Epidemic hemorrhagic fever whilst living in Korea? (Also called Korean hemorrhagic fever).

I noticed that most Korean children 12y.o. and older get it.

It's a Hantan vius - because it comes from around the Hantan & Han river.

is it necessary or not necessary?

Especially risky if travelling to China also.

I have never heard of this virus, let alone know any foreigner who's been vaccinated against it, nor infected with it. Therefore I would say it is not necessary. Presumably Koreans are vaccinated, but I've never heard anyone talk about it.

If you're worried, it's not expensive, so why not get it when you get here?
