There are buses from Moran Station (line 8 exit) that go there. I forgot wat the bus numbers were.

That depends on where in Seoul you're coming from and where you're going in Gwangju, doesn't it?

Quite true.

Gwangju is pretty big.

Off the top of my head -

1500, 1500-2, 1050 are all express buses that go there. 1500 can be had at Seoul Station, 1500-2 can be picked up at Sadang, 1050... I don't remember where that one starts. Anyway, they all go to Seohyeon Station (three stops south of Moran), then up the hill towards Gwangju. I wouldn't bother with Moran Station, but would head one stop south to Yatap Station. There are more buses there as most of the buses from Moran stop at Yatap as well as extra buses from other directions.

You could also do some research on the bus terminals. I THINK that some of the buses will go through Gwangju, but I'm not positive.

I live in gwangju, and I'm assuming you mean Gwangju city (gyeongan dong).

As far as the terminal, it's pretty infrequent, so it'd be better to take a red bus. The 500-2 stops at gangnam and yangjae station, and then goes to gwangju. Ask the bus driver to let you off near gwangju. The easier buses are the 1113-1 and 1113. They go to Gangdong station, and Gangbyeon station. Those two will spit you right out in the center of town.

Or go to Bundang (yatap) and rock the 300. Whatever you do, it will take about an hour to get there.

You should be warned that the 500-1 and 500-2 don't go to Gwangju, they go by it. You can get off right before Gwangju and switch to the 300 or 1113-1 but you would have to know when to get off. The 300 and 1113-1 will stop in Gwangju.

The 500-1 starts in Jamsil if you are curious. The last stop for the 300 is Ori-yak. The last stop before leaving Bundang is Yatap-yak. I would recommend getting on the 300 at Seohyeon or even Ori-yak if you want to get a seat. Takes about an hour and 15 minutes from Yatap to Gwangju when using the 300. It is green.
