So this year was the first time that I had to file for Korean taxes. Trying to the call the Tax Service for foreigners was a huge hassle as they NEVER answer my phone calls. Needless to say, I got it done only to find out that I owe the Korean gov't money. What the junk? Have you been in this situation and if so, how did you deal with it? Or did you get money back after you file your taxes? Not exactly sure how taxes in Korea works but I'm definitely not banking and it makes no sense that I owe them money. Any thoughts/insights/cope mechanisms would be much appreciated!
