has anyone been able to download this? Im aware of the region lock, but
the only version that shows up on the XBL marketplace on my console is the english version..
I have a US xbox, US account, and Korean Black ops...
Microsoft has said only the game and the ip must match to be able to download... Activision says MAYBE the Live acount has to match the ip and game region...I tried to contact them and they emailed "we dont comment on games and such that havnt been released" ???? it was released 2 days ago!!!
Has anyone with a Korean Account been able to find and download from the marketplace? |

| not directly related to your question but has anyone tried playing on xbox live? When I lived in Pyeongtaek, the internet was way too slow for me to play multiplayer. I barely played Call of Duty World at War because of that.. |

| Yeah, I can imagine a quick fix coming for this. Treyarch purposefully used servicemen as consultants on their game. They aren't going to leave all these boys stationed abroad out to dry on this. Bad PR. |

I'd say my game play is pretty good (three bars at least on that ping bar graph thing) 80% of the time. It's not perfect, but it's still a great game. I do totally notice a massive increase in awesomeness when my ping bar graph thing is all the way full.
The only real problem i've found is if i try to turn quickly or when a lot of stuff is happening the game can lag pretty hard core.
Side question:
Favorite map outside of this mysterious expansion pack?
I'm really a Nuketown guy - the action is just constant. I like that fast paced reactionary play. I'm sick of lame snipers shooting me from half a cyber mile away. |

Im using a K Xbox, K game and Canadian Live profile. Emailed Xbox live about this, they did not tell me if/when its available. And also let me know all military personnel are able to get it on base! Here is the e-mail:
I understand that you are in S. Korea and you just spent $30 (CAD) to buy points to get the map pack for Black Ops and you receive the following error message:
This item is not available from your current location.
MORE INFORMATION
You receive the message because the content that you are trying to purchase or to download is not licensed for use in the country where you are located. Xbox LIVE determines your geographic location based on your console's IP address when you sign in. If the content that you are trying to obtain is restricted by your geographic location, Xbox LIVE will block the purchase or the download from occurring.
Xbox LIVE will determine the user's geographic location based on their console's IP address upon login. If the content the user is trying to obtain is restricted in their geographic location, Xbox LIVE will block the purchase or download from occurring.
Licensing Compliance will primarily affect Video Marketplace content, as it is licensed only for U.S. distribution. Additionally, gaming content will be restricted based on government regulation. There are certain countries, such as Germany, where that content cannot be viewed per government regulation.
Note: US military bases should not be affected by this policy due to the fact that Xbox LIVE worked with the Department of Defense to get as many bases immune from the restriction as possible. If a soldier calls Xbox Support and have restrictions on certain content while playing from a US base located outside of the US, they should have their case escalated to their base's commanding officer to have their connection placed on the official Department of Defense's network.
