Hello everyone!

I'm sure a lot of you have seen my events posted on this board before, and know that I'm into all things fermentable. Beer, Kombucha, cheese, etc.

Well, some friends and I thought it'd be great to have an event to spread the stinky, alcoholic love.

That event is Fermentation Celebration.

It will be held at Craftworks, Kyeongidan/Itaewon, in March. Why so far away? Fermentation takes a while.

The gist is that we will have a Taste of Chicago vibe. You come in, pay a small entrance fee (mostly to cover the cost of renting out Craftworks and paying back vendors), and you can TASTE ANYTHING!!!

After the tasting period, you will be able to buy some products, but we're still talking to the venue as to what will be on sale and what won't (alcohol can't be sold in the establishment, for instance).

What I'm posting today is the vendor's page. Please only sign onto this page if you are interested in making something for the event. We are looking for 15 participants and already have around 7.

Go to the page, then describe what you can make and how much.

Great idea for an event! What do you mean by vendors? Is this attracting professional producers or is it like a homebrew meetup where everyone brings some of their newest batch?

It's a homebrewing/baking/making event where you'll be able to sell your wares. It's basically Amateur, although I may invite a couple of pro makkolli producers just for fun.

You can bring anything fermented: cheese, beer, wine, kimchi, makkoli, kefir, kombucha, anything.

Hey everyone, super-duper-zombie bump.

This event is still looking for 2 or 3 more vendors. We need more people to make delicious fermentables.

So far, we have beer, kefir-cheese, kefir, vegan kimchi, and more. Can you make some fermentables? Hit the link at the top of the page and join the vendor's page!

I got some kefir starter recently and tried making it. Unfortunately, it was the most intolerably bitter thing i've ever tasted. And I'm a person who really likes tart flavors better than sweet ones. This stuff was WAAAAAAAAAAY BEYOND TART!!!!!!!!!!

I make yogurt every week but who doesn't.

I also bought some starter for fermented veggies when I bought the kefir starter, but I've been hesitant to try after the kefir diaster.

Think I'll come and sample though.

Cheers.
