How can I replace a lost Alien card? Do I need to personally report to immigration, or can it be done over the phone? |

You need to apply in person. 10k won, passport, application fee.

Cheers man, do you know how long it takes? I lost my wallet too, so I can't get a new bank card until I get the ARC. |

I have had them replaced in as short as 15 minutes but I have heard (via here) of others who have had to wait up to a week for a replacement (but I have NO first hand knowledge of this).
Anyone I have known over the years who needed a replacement got it while they waited.

Negative. I've known 3 people, all of whom had to wait for them to be mailed back/picked up in about 7-10 days. It COULD have to do with your location. They were at the Suwon branch (where I was, at the time). I've been to the Seoul branch on the west side of town and they were a streamlined and efficient machine, so maybe it depends on where you go?
EDIT - I read your post as "Anyone known ... got it while they waited?" I was answering that question. Not disagreeing with your assessment, just answering what I thought it said, but still, that's the experience of my friends at the Suwon office. |

The fee is 10k. I had to do it in December and waited ten minutes and paid ten bucks. I was worried going in but it all went smoothly. |

That's good to hear, do you mean ten minutes just queueing or ten as in you got your replacement? |

Make an online appointment at Kimmi and then 10-15 mins depending on the crowds. Wait for the person to call your name and out you go. This was my experience at Mokdong Kimmi. Now getting a replacement for a stolen passport is even more work and painful. |

Why won't a passport work, to get a new bank card? What bank are you using? |

When I lost mine, I had to first go to the police station to report it as missing. Then I had to take the form they gave me to immigration, apply for a new one, and pay around 10,000won. But I'm pretty sure that you have to make a trip to the local police station first. Bring along your passport or other form of legal ID and you should go through without avail. |

A friend of mine lost his and instead of getting a new one, they gave him a small voucher that acted as an ARC. I think it's because he lost his ARC card six times in two years. |

LOL. I don't think I can say *idiot* with enough conviction. |
