They even type in Korean, watch K-dramas, listen to K-pop, dress and look like they are Korean (which makes them look like r'tards.) And they always talk about how much they love Korea and Koreans..

Yet, ask them if they've been to Korea they always give the same answer..

NO! Shocked

Generally these are people I meet online (though a few in person), from Europe and they tend to females in their late teens/early twenties..

There are also others who love Japan etc. too..

Surely you folks here have come across these people before?

I've met many Japanophiles who fit this description, but the idea of Korea as equivalent shows how powerful economic strength is and how stupid people can be. Oh well, it's a big world, and countries, like old girlfriends, always gravitate to the best fit. Love be damned. That's it.

Thank goodness there isn't anywhere in the world that idolizes and admires American culture & the English language...

I know some Singaporeans who are like this, although they have been to Korea (and Japan actually, too, which I just returned from myself - what an eye-opening experience). How anyone familiar with Singapore and Japan could maintain so much enthusiasm for Korea, even after experiencing life here, is beyond me, but I gotta admit the Koreans are experts at selling themselves with plastic dramas and popstars that represent a reality far removed from what life really is like in Korea. They're kinda like the EPL of Asian nations. The world's best clubs and players are absent but the packaging is slick and there's enough quality in the league to satisfy you.

How dare people like Koreans when they should be liking us.

EDIT- Then I assume that the idea of Koreans in Korea dressing like us, enjoying our food and entertainment, and speaking our language is equally ludicrous.

i'd rather live in Korea than Egypt, Syria, Jordan or any other place in Africa/SW Asia like Lebanon, Palestine etc...rather work in Korea than Haiti or other dangerous spots in the West Indies, and Iraq, Iran or many other places in the Middle East...rather Korea than Pakistan, India, or even Sri Lanka...so? what are you asking/saying? it comes off as a stupid question to me when you also live and work here...are you a part-time or a full time idiot? No, but I was seeing a mixed Kyopo Guy here for awile and he had only visted Korea once in 1997 for a week. I got the impression that altough he was partly Korean; he really didn't like ( or even knew much at all about it).

I didn't really go into detail about my whole ( bad?) experience there.
(didn't wanna make a bad impression in case of meeting the parents, who were both Korean later on).

Korea really does deem' to be a love/hate relationship though. I can't seem to loose it outta my life ( even here)no matter what kind of extreme measures' are taken. Everywhere, there is a Korean.

Why?

Never met anyone in real life like that before. This seems kind of unremarkable for the types of weirdos you can meet online.
