After months of trying to find a job in or near Seoul, I have finally landed a position in a school in Gwangju, Gyeonggi-do. I accepted mainly on the grounds that it was nearby Seoul, but looking at other posts it seems I'll be pretty stuck for local entertainment. Is there any sort of life here (pubs, bars, restaraunts, sports clubs etc) or will I have to rely on Seoul for everything?
If anyone can shed some light please do - I'll be there by the weekend!

I worked there before in an elementary school. Gwangju does not have a subway line, but has buses that go to Moran Market. From there you can catch the subway. It is about a 25 minute bus ride there.
