|
|
So I have another job lined up and who wants to transfer the VISA within the next week or so.
Problem is, my boss and I had an arguement over me quiting....cursing and fighting happened.
Well, he gave me a letter of release and promptly fired me! No waiting 60+ days.
So even though my VISA lasts until December 2011, the letter of release says I finish work today since I'm no longer working there(they said "skip town!")
He says he's not calling immigration to cancel the visa(at least not for five days) and he'll aprove the visa transfer if immigration calls.
Will there be any problems since the visa isn't technically canceled?
Will immigration say "becuase you were let go 3 days ago, your visa is canceled by default or you cannot transfer??"
My boss is willing to rewrite it to make the visa transfer process a bit smoother(a bit). |

I'm not an expert on this, but I don't think you want the visa cancelled if you are transferring it. If it is cancelled then you will have to leave the country and get a new visa.
If I were you I would get it transferred before he cancels it on you. So move quick! |

I'm reading online that an employer has to cancel employment to try to hire new teachers.
Immigration told my boss the same thing.
Since my actual visa expiration date is not up, I get the impression I have time to transfer within 30 days of contract/employment termination....correct? |

Unless something has changed very recently, you can't transfer a visa until you're at least 6 months in. |
