This month and the following months marks the 60th anniversary of a many important battles that took place in South Korea in 1951.
Several commemorations will be held in April.
One will be the Battle of the Imjin River north of Seoul near Dongducheon
which was fought by the 29th British Commonwealth Brigade
and another will be held at the Battle of Kapyong between Seoul and
Chuncheon near Kapyong fought by the 27th Commonwealth Brigade.
A number of Canadian veterans will be there as the U.K., Australia and
New Zealand will be represented.
