anybody else go? seemed to be a bunch of foreigners there. I was so-so on it. pretty much liked the set list (except for the reboot of Layla) and his band sounded good.
what bothered me was it was so short (on at 7:01 off at exactly 9) given the price and he didnt interact with audience besides and perfunctory "thank you" after each song (heck he didnt even introduce his band except the 2 keyboardists who did solos). I've heard hes like this, a friend in the states said he didnt say a word on his US shows.
i dont know for 90,000 won for the cheap seats i expected more then again I remember spending $15 for Springsteen and he would do a 4 hour show |

I loved it. It was a little short, but I don't expect a 65-year old to play all night.
I loved the old Cream stuff especially. Cocaine was great, too. I would have preferred the rock-on! version of Layla but it was still excellent. And I didn't miss Tears in Heaven at all.
I only paid 60,000 for the cheap seats... I don't think there's a bad seat in that arena.
I've got no complaints. |

It is what it is. That's the going price of a concert these days. 2 hours is fair enough...I've seen Bob Dylan mumble his way through a 45 minute set, so...
He's got to drop the lame "Layla". The only low point of the night. How can you have Chris Stainton with you on piano, and NOT play the classic version? I would've loved to have seen "Further On Up the Road" instead of "Crossroads", but that's just my taste.
What I enjoyed the most is that this was the first of five times seeing Clapton that he was the only guitar player. He's always had other guys with him before, and he is always generous about letting them take center stage. Last night I finally felt like I saw Clapton do all of the heavy lifting. |

Some good points, I didnt realize that Chris Stainton was on the piano, then it was a crime he didnt do the classic version of "Layla". For an encore I would have liked "After Midnight" or "Sweet Home Chicago" again a matter of taste. Some of the songs felt like I was at Antones in Austin taking in the blues. then again he is a bluesman first |

Clapton's pretty much always like that in concert. He lets his guitar do the talking.
I actually prefer that, especially these days when many performers talk more than they play. |

That's why I was so happy that he was the only guitarist in the band last night.
In 2007, Derek Trucks was awesome, but I was there to see Clapton.
Oddly enough, one of the best Clapton shows I saw was when he toured with Roger Waters for "The Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking" tour. He was just a guy in Waters's band - I don't think Waters even introduced him. |

I saw it. My favorite part of the show was when he sat down with the acoustic and belted out a few numbers. 2 hours seemed fine to me. I saw BB King and Gary Moore years ago (separate shows, mind) and they had a 2 hour set.
Here's the setlist
