I've already made a post about my pay.....but had another question.
So my salary is 2.2 mil. On my paystub, for reasons I can't really understand, my employer lists my pay at 2.1 mil then adds on an additional 100,000 (it's called 'payroll tax') to add up to the 2.2. My taxes, health & pension are all based on the 2.1; making that additional 100,000 untaxed.
Is there any reason, other than to be so cheap as to save a few dollars by basing deductions on 2.1, for my employer to do this? As I said, I'm really scratching my head on this one..........is the nickel and diming this bad? |

If you go your money as promised, cool. It sounds like he set it up so you pay less tax. Less healthcare cost too. That might be why, and since you pay 50/50, you both pay less.
If he is paying pension, he set it up that both of you pay slightly less. You also receive less at the end.
I can't think of any other reason. |

The total amount is just wrong.
Pension alone, at 4.5%, would be 99,000 won.
Health Insurance is about 2.9%.
Your income tax withholding should be around 2%.
Mistakes, game playing, cheating, or some other factors ... Time to ask questions. |
