|

I've played electric guitar on and off for a number of years now, and I was thinking about picking up a decent guitar to play around with. I've always enjoyed playing Cort guitars and basses, but I've been itching for something more, shall I say, "unique".
I couldn't help but laugh when I heard about a custom shop in Songtan called Mr. Potato, which sells custom guitars under the same name. I was curious if anyone ever heard of this shop, and if the guitars are actually decent and not complete garbage. I'm also not ashamed at all to admit that I'm interested in their guitars solely because of their ridiculous name. |

Thanks for the links. I was able to dig online and I found out a little more info. Apparently, "Ted" (Owner/Luthier) has retired and moved away. But I don't know if the store/brand is still around, and how good the quality is now that the original "Mr. Potato" has moved on.
I'm still intrigued enough to take the journey down to Songtan and see if the place still exists. |

There acoustic guitars back in the day were very nice sounding! Uncertain about the changeover. Also, I don't know much about their electrics. MD Custom shop in Hongdae has a fine Luthier who makes great electrics. |
