I am making this post for a friend of mine. In any case, she is interested in teaching Japanese in Korea in order to be closer to her boyfriend. She is a native Japanese, with pretty good use of English and Korean.

So, I was wondering if anyone knows of any website or resources that could help her land a job here. I suppose there might be similar sites such as Dave's for Japanese speakers?

The help would be greatly appreciated!

Look for hagwons that also teach Japanese. Talk to recruiters. Maybe her boyfriend could work there first, and then she could later if they don't have an immediate opening.

If she's got good english and korean skills. It'll be better for her to get a translator job. Or if she's willing to do the heavy hours, a job with one of the chaebols

My wife is Korean and speaks fluent Japanese. She graduated from a major Japanese university and worked for a large company there for 2 years after graduating.

Before getting into business in Korea, and when she (we!) were a lot younger, she taught Japanese at big Korean companies. I'm pretty sure that she went through a placement agency that specialized in Japanese for business. Not bad coin, but the hours were understandably not too hot (early a.m. and after work hours p.m.).

You'd have to ask a Korean friend to do an Internet search for agencies that place Japanese teachers. Then your friend's gf would have to worry about her visa. There are bigger adult hakwons that do hire and sponsor Japanese teachers. The downside is that, much like with teaching English at hakwons, the schedules can be pretty grueling (read: split shifts and 6-10 classes a day).

If she's in Japan, she can look up recruiters there who place teachers in Korean hakwons.

Good luck to them.
