Dear everyone,

To my knowledge, there are several writers' workshops in Seoul already. I've organized a few in the past myself. Some have been more successful than others, and I think that this is owing to the personalities and experience of the writers involved. This time around, I would like to invite writing samples first and organize from there.

So here it is:

If you're game, send me a short work, an excerpt, a sample of what you can do. It can be nearly anything - poetry, non-fiction, I've even read some really good tribute-fiction. (See details below.) I will read all submissions and comment back with in a few weeks. From this, I'll try to hammer out a group (or possibly groups - 6-8 members) of people that would work well together.

Here's the skinny on the subs and other details - try to keep the manuscripts to less than twenty pages. Any kind of writing is alright for a submission - just try to send something that is a good example of the sort of writing you usually do. Send it to the e-mail address attached to this post.

Also, send a writer's bio - where are you from? What are you doing here? How often do you write? What sort of writing do you normally do? How long will you probably live in... where do you live? What is your work schedule like? (The last two questions are, obviously, more geared toward establishing a location and time for the group.) Do you want feedback on your initial submission or would you like it to be workshopped by the group?

I'll send out individual e-mails as I receive submissions. Any further questions or communication can be conducted through them.

Until then, may your prose be how you intend it to be.

-S
