Hello,
Anyone got any info on this school and location? I've been offered a job here but I'm a little worried its too far from Seoul. If anyone could give me some more info I would really appreciate it!
Thanks,
Kate |

| It's not too far from Seoul. Pyeongchon Station is about twenty minutes to Sadang (southern Seoul) and within an hour of most places you're ever going to want to go to. |

| don't know this school, but Anyang is a really nice city. I would disagree, though, because I think it IS too far from Seoul. It's an hour subway ride away, which means you'll really only go on the weekend. But, there is plenty to do in Anyang, again, very pretty city, very large. (I was partial to Itaewon's restaurants and shops, so I'd rather be IN Seoul) |

Depending on where you're going it can be well under an hour. Pyeongchon to Itaewon generally runs about 45 minutes, Pyeongchon to Sangsu (Hongdae) runs about 50 minutes. Myeongdong is also only about 45 minutes, while Kangnam can be as low as 35 if you catch the transfer right. Again: it's only 20 minutes from Pyeongchon to Sadang, which is located in Seoul. It's not really far unless you're planning on going to Insadong every night. |

I live really near that school, actually, though I work further south in Uiwang. Generally, I don't have the energy or time to go into Seoul on weeknights, but that's me. It's certainly possible, as you can see by the trip times others have posted. Going on the weekends is more feasible, however, but that might hold true even if you were living IN Seoul, depending on where you wanted to go.
Anyang is a really nice city, though. It has pretty much everything you need, and a really big ESL teaching population, so you can make a lot of friends here (if you get out of your apartment more than I do ). |

| If it is a franchised Avalon, run away and don't look back. If it is a head office branch, you are probably okay. |
