I'm thinking about taking the ferry to Fukuoka from Busan over the Chuseok holiday (September 10-13). I've taken the ferry once before and I just bought the ticket the same day, but since this would be over Chuseok, should I buy the ticket in advance? And how do I do that if I'm in Seoul? |

Although I haven't taken that ferry, I would definitely buy your ticket in advance. You can buy tickets in English through the JR Beetle website http://www.jrbeetle.co.jp/english/ or you could try contacting Kangsan Travel http://kangsantravel.com/ as they also sell tickets and might be able to get you a better price. |

with all the domestic travel over Chuseok weekend, getting to/from Busan could be rough too. book your KTX now. |

yep, even domestic travel is starting to fill up. perhaps going for a night out nearby to your morning flight is the way to go |

It's great living on a subway line to Busan. My co-teacher can even give me a lift to the ferry terminal and immigration which is next to her place.
The major issue with buying the ferry ticket yourself is having to book a room.
Kangsan has some hotel packages or there are numerous cheap hostels in which you can find on the internet. |
