I'm trying to replace this underpowered Acer which is more like an overgrown netbook with something I can game on and do other fiddly bits of multimedia. I like the HP Envy a lot but could do without the Blu-Ray player. I want something with a lot of screen real estate and a decent video card. Cheaper is better but not a necessity, I'd rather buy something that ages well this time around if possible.
Thanks for any recommendations. Oh, and please if you do recommend anything let me know where I might get it in Korea and if I can get an English version of Windows with it.

Desktop - In Seoul?
Go to J-Tech computers in the seon-in plaza (across the tracks from Yongsan station) map--> http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm77/ttompatz/yongsan2.jpg and pick something off of their mid-range list (i5 (dual or quad) with 2-4 gigs of RAM). Pick a video card of your choosing (1GB will be more than adequate for most purposes) and the hard drive size you want.
They can install a pirate copy of win7 (20k installed - free if you are a DIY guy). If you want a legit copy you can either walk downstairs and buy it OEM or you can walk across to the terminal building and buy a legit (boxed) copy from the Microsoft store (English version).
You should come in around 500k for a complete box and then add 250k for a decent sized (23"-26") wide screen.
