Hi,

My contract finishes the end of May while my ARC expires the end of June.

2 questions:

1. Does that mean I can stick around Korea for a month before I have to leave?....Or, once the school reports that my job is completed to immigration I have a week or so?

2. If i decide to stay in Korea to find a new job after my contract is complete, can I simply walk into immigration and get a D10 visa?

You are allowed to stay in Korea for the duration of your ARC validity.

You should report your change in status within 15 days but no-one will care if you go the full 30. I wouldn't stretch it beyond 30 without a report to immigration (risk of problems and a black mark).

Yes, after your contract is complete you can simply walk into immigration and change your status to D10 (pay the appropriate fee, file the application and job search plan).

.

Many thanks Tom. I assume you're on Dave's payroll....if not, look into it.

So, D10 is valid for 6 months? Any idea what the cost is?
