|
|
I will soon be leaving the apartment provided by my school.
My school will no longer be wanting the apartment as they don't have the funding for another native English teacher. This means they will stop paying rent to the current owner.
The native English teacher before me caused damage to the apartment (floors, furniture, walls, light fixtures, and carpet). These damages remained, so I documented the damages and gave that documentation to the finance office at my school. The finance office has changed personnel, and I'm not sure confident that they still have my documentation.
I'm concerned that my school will deduct damages from my initial 900,000 won deposit.
After leaving your apartment, did you come to find out that your school did not refund the full amount of your initial 900,000 won deposit? |

Do you still have copies of your documentation that you gave your admin staff? You'd probably be better off bringing it up now. |

Yes, I do.
My school has been great to me, and I don't think they'd try to rip me off, so I don't to bring up the idea of missing documentation, potentially offending them.
I'm just wondering if people have had wrongful deductions taken from their deposit. |

I haven't heard about problems with the public schools. Just hagwon owners.
I don't see how that would offend anyone though. Ask your coteacher or office staff who is in charge of it if the old teacher left the documents for them. Don't ask them if they lost it. Put it on the old teacher. |
