Apparently GEPIK and IMOE each have their own rules and pay scale all applicants must adhere to.
With regards to upward mobility for example to reach 2.5mil salary , you need to have worked two consecutive years within GEPIK or IMOE at a salary of 2.3mil. Keeping with the 2.5mil salary example, NETs at this salary level [from say IMOE for the past two years] wishing to enter the GEPIK program will not receive wage parity(ie a 2.5mil salary) as they have not worked two consecutive years within GEPIK. Such NETs can only start at 2.3mil and will only receive a 2.5mil salary after completing two additional consecutive years within GEPIK. Same within IMOE btw.
Level 1+ NETs tranferring to/from GEPIK from/to IMOE are asked to take a monthly pay cut of 200,000won should they wish to work within either program. Your place of employment -a public school- and your teaching duties are the same but you have different employers[GEPIK vs IMOE]
Enlighten me please as to the logic in this.
