Hi

Currently looking at positions in public schools & universities for 2011.

Can anybody tell me what the term dates are in both of these types of establishments for the upcoming academic year, please?

Thanks
John

School term starts are March 2 for ALL public schools in Korea. 2nd term usually starts the 4th week in August.

University terms vary depending on the university but as a rule start in Early April and mid term starts in early Sept.

Unless you have significant academic credentials (related MA or better) and (verifiable) experience

OR

You have connections at a university you are unlikely to be hired by a university while you are abroad.

If you are in Korea and experienced as a teacher AND have a connection/friend you MAY get as far as an interview at a university with just an undergrad degree (it is far more competitive now than it ever used to be).
