i just found out from my new boss at the school that all my friends are not members of the ktu.. and to top it off, they oppose it fully...
my new boss is the schools representitive for the ktu and he wants me to dump all my current friends to ensure that my contract is renewed...
these guys are my friends... i have been on holidays with their wives and children.. i go to dinner with the same crew often and go drinking with the guys several times a week....
the principle and vice principle love me and so do all of the non ktu members but my direct boss and the other english teachers don't like me (i just found out) cuz they are pro ktu and i am good friends with all the non ktu members..
we are talking about 30 non ktu members as opposed to about 12 ktu members...
my direct boss (the schools ktu rep) has control over my resigning the contract & not the principle...
this really sucks...
anybody else have issues with the ktu or ktu members? |

Thats a bad situation Wylde. Just go with your gut feeling and blow those union members away. Who cares what they think if they don't like you in the first place.
I would go with friendship over small-mindedness any day off the week. Plenty of jobs here |

| Dude it is wrong that your boss is using you in a political way. He is quite unprofessional and back stabing. I think you need to have a talk with him. If he has been so direct with you, then you need tell him they way you see this situation. Do it with a smile and some honesty, if he wants to play hard with you and you don't care about your job, you could make life hard for him. |

yea it really, really sucks.. first bad thing about my job.. only 4 months to go anyway 
thanks guys but....
this teacher has put every former teacher from our school into universities... i dont really wanna blow that...
not really a question... just a rant...
i will still play with my friends after school but i will have to be 2 faced during school... that kinda sucks...
nobody else has had any issues with the ktu? |
