My contract is finishey (oh goodness i've been in Korea too long) in 3 months and I am planning to volunteer at an orphanage in India for a month afterwords before returning to the US about a month after my contract officially ended.
Is the way that the pension works is that they check to see if you have arrived in your home country before sending the money to your foreign bank account. OR, do they not care when you get back just as long as you complete you leave Korea within 10 days after your contract.
I need the money from the pension for my few weeks that I will be spending at home before my next job starts and I don't want my humanitarian efforts to effect that simply because I am technically not returning to my home country until a month after my contract.

As far as i know, they don't care if your going home, just that you left Korea. So you should be fine.
But does anyone know, can I give then pension office someone's bank account info that does not have my name on it? I'd like to have it sent to my mom's account so she'll have easier access to it if I need it whilst traveling. |
