Hello!
I am new to this forum, and soon to be a newbie in Korea. I am having trouble getting ahold of anyone at the Korean Consulate in San Franciso, and am wondering EXACTLY what documents I need to send for my E-2. Any advice would be helpful Thank you so much. |

| Did you call? They should pick up if you call during their normal business hours. You definitely need transcripts at the San Francisco office. |

Where to begin...
Why are you calling the consulate about that? They don't handle visa processing, immigration here in Korea does.
All the consulate will need is your visa issuance number - call them, give them that, set up an appointment for an interview, go to the interview, leave your passport and some money and they mail it back to you with your visa in it.
For your visa, you need three signed contracts, 2 passport photos, apostilled copy of your diploma, apostilled FEDERAL background check, copy of your passport information page. You send that in to immigration, and they give you your visa issuance number. |

| got my E-2 from the SF consulate. All you need is your visa issuance number. They don't really handle the paperwork. You mail your documents to your recruiter or school and they will issue you a visa number |
