|
|
i walked right in the immigration office a few days ago with all my required documents minus a new medical check (the hospital one, not the self one) and got my visa renewed.
has this happened to anyone else or have you guys been told to submit new medical checks?
btw, mine was an "add additional workplace" for changing employers, i.e. going from one job to another. |

It has never been required for an extension, renewal, transfer.
The usual list of documents is:
1) ARC
2) passport
3) new contract
4) employers guarantee (sponsorship)
5) Employers business registration (copy)
6) application
7) fee.
With the current changes there are a few who may be asked to submit a new CRC or degree copy (if they do not have the correct ones on file) and this is usually waived until the next change of status (with a signed acknowledgment of the requirement to submit).

For an extension or renewal it has always been the same for both.
For an END-OF-Contract transfer it is the same for both now (LOR no longer required for an end-of-contract transfer).
For an early change of employer a release is required to allow the transfer but an employer is not legally obligated to provide one.
They still frown on transfers before the 6 month mark unless there is a valid, LEGAL reason (bankrupt employer, claims against the employer by the employee at the labor board, etc).

Wait? What?
One doesn't require LOR if the contract is finished? I just went through tons of trouble for a LOR (end of contract) for nothing?
Does this mean no more visa runs to Japan? |
