I saw Crown Royal and Wild Turkey at 40-45k won a bottle at one of the foreign food marts in Itaewon. Anywhere else to get these for cheaper in Seoul? I realize Costco has these but I don't have a membership card and can't be bothered with the trek. |

Costco will be the most cost efficient. LotteMart, Homeplus, etc. have some selections. There are liquor stores scattered throughout the city, however I never see these in high-pedestrian areas, and they aren't the cheapest. Namdaemun market has a building with a foreign-goods and foreign-foods store in the basement where they sell a lot of imported black market liquors. Hannam supermarket also sells bottles, but they are expensive. Finally, if you make friends with a bar owner, or pay the right price, you may be able to get them to order you things from their distributor, things that you won't see at stores. |

Many areas in Seoul have 'wine stores', usually smallish stores on a main street one or two blocks away from a main intersection, that also carry 'yangju', ie vodka/whiskey/rum/etc.... As mentioned, Costco does have the best selection at reasonable prices, but the corner stores also work in a pinch-- seen them in Guui, Nowon, Sangbong, Jamsil, Sinchon Yeongpong, and I'm sure all of the bigger neighbhoods have them. |
