Hey guys I'm looking for a Chinese market ... anything that sells Chinese products. I went to Foreign food market but couldn't find what I was looking for. I would like to get some Chinese spices, sauces, veggies and so on... specifically Cantonese/Southeast Asian ingredients.

Thanks.... Smile

where are you exactly? there are asia marts of varying range and quality all over the place. areas such as around ansan station would make you forget you're even in korea.

Hello again.. thanks for the help... really appreciate it. Maybe I'm just blind as a bat and some stuff are in Homeplus, Emart and so on. I live in Ilsan but I'll go far to get some stuff.

Some stuff top of my head....

Noodles
Lo Mein
Chow Fun
Chow Mein
Wonton Wrappers

Veggies
Snow Peas
Grean Beans (costco has a huge bag)
Bak choy (Homeplus has small bags but looking for more at cheaper price)
Lemongrass

Spices, wines
XO sauce
Chinese Rice Wine
Chili Garlic Sauce (Lee Kum Kee's has small bottles, looking for a fairly large one)

Where is a good place to get cheap fresh fish, duck, shrimp, lobster?

Thank you all again...Smile

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

This might be slightly off the point since you're looking for Cantonese/Southeastern stuff, but tons of Chinese food ingredients (northeastern China in particular) would be available in and around Garibong-dong Chinatown, southwest Seoul.
You'll find it some 400 meters east of Gasan Digital Complex station (lines 1, 7) Exit 3, or 300 meters south of Namguro station (line 7) Exit 3.
See if you can catch bus 830 nearby in Ilsan, proceed to Yeongdeungpo, the terminus of 830, and then transfer to Line 1. Otherwise, Line 3 will make a huge detour for your itinerary.

Thanks, I will definitely check it out. But Northeast China ingredients are identical or come close to it?
