I have found myself in Daejeon for a night, and I'm at a loose end.

I'd like to maybe go out for a few beers somewhere where there's a friendly foreigner crowd. Also, maybe a pool table?

I'd like to know the name of a particular area to head where you think it's easy to meet people and have some laughs. I did hear good things about a place called Sponge Bar, but I dunno.

I'm not from Daejeon, but I know Sponge is in the Dunsan-dong area. I believe around the Time World Galleria. Sponge was a pretty decent time when I went. Plenty of girls and most of the guys there seemed like they'd never spoken to a girl in their lives!

Yeah, I'd go out to dunsan-dong. Sponge has a pool bar and a decently chill crowd, if you are at Time world, you'll just head west and take the first left, and it'll be on your left. Otherwise there's yellow taxi, which'll be your second left and a couple blocks down. Good luck!

Sponge, Yellow Taxi, Cocoon are all good in the Time World Area. My personal favorite is the Shisha House in Kungdong, though.
