|
|
Give me a chalkboard any day but I gotta deal with whiteboards sometimes too. I've managed to wreck a couple in my time.
First time, I accidentally used an indelible marker. An ordinary rubber eraser removed it quite nicely but those areas never wiped clean again. I guess theres a coating on the board? (There is a remedy for the wrong ink -- write over it with a proper whiteboard marker & erase immediately.)
But after a while a well-maintained whiteboard still gets kinda grayish. Detergent & water doesnt touch it. Mistake number 2: dont try rubbing alcohol! Seems to work great but also destroys the finish.
Any other bright ideas?

The little spray bottle of "whiteboard cleaner." It seems to be Windex repackaged at a markup. |

Thanks. I'd asked a bunch of office workers & Korean teachers but they were clueless. |

The little bottle of whiteboard cleaner is quite effective, even though it smells sickly sweet. I found just straight old H2O to be the most effective cleaner. |

Whiteboards are so much better than chalkboards. I hate getting chalk all over myself. Whiteboards don't get you dirty as long as you don't touch them, but chalk just gets into everything. |
