Does anyone know if the Seoul Subway is closed today (March the 1st)?
I am quite far from a station and do not have a phone yet.
Thank-you. |

Train and buses are open. Only govt institutions are closed ie schools, immigration, etc. |

Don't take it personally but I find it a bit silly to ask such thing.
Every time a holiday comes, this question always shows up.
A city this big would be right dead in 1 hour without its mass transportation. It doesn't matter if it's a weekday, weekend or holiday. Everything runs 365 days a year. On holidays and Sundays less frequently, but they don't stop, never! (Except late nights)
No offense.

+1
That's several time a year, every year. Why not make it a sticky?
No offense to the OP, if Sesame Street taught me anything it's that there are no stupid questions (and also that cookies are delicious). It just makes me wonder, are there places in the World where public transport does not run at all on holidays or weekends?
Why don't we see questions that are equally important, such as "Will there be electricity/water tomorrow?", "Will my toilet flush on Chuseok?", "Will the department stores open on my birthday?" etc.?
After all, don't the people who operate the pumps, switches and wheels deserve some time off, too?
This forum needs an FAQ, or a Wiki. |
