The cost of driving has gone WAY up in the past couple of months. The CHEAPEST gas/petrol I've seen is 1835. The highest is 1889.
What's the price in your area? |

About $4 in LA now. Some analysts project crude oil reaching the $130s again. Get ready for another painful ride. |

$7 a gallon? DOES GOD NOT CARE?????
Seriously, gas is pretty cheap here. It's still substantially cheaper than it is in, say, the UK for example (it's about 2,200/liter there), and still noticeably cheaper than it is in continental Europe.
This is pretty amazing because Korea IMPORTS 99% of its oil. Korea basically produces NO oil. So the fact that gas is not only on a par with Europe, but actually cheaper than most of Europe is amazing.
I guess it's kind of expensive if you compare it to the US. But the US is 'special' in terms of oil and consequent gas prices. It's pretty much unique in the world in that regard.
I posit this: Gas is too cheap in Korea. If they worked on a European Model it'd probably be 2x the price or more.
(And I drive a car here in K.. I just recognize that it's not that expensive in the big scheme of things..) |

| I never pay attention to the price of basic necessities that I don't want to cut back on or do without: food and gas. I am not a coupon clipper, gratification delayer or pleasure denier. I simply pay the cost of what I most want. I guess I live like a rich man even though I'm not. I don't mind because my income clearly exceeds my expenses and it's only the optional expenses that I notice and pay attention to price: airfare for vacaton travel, new clothing prices, the friggin' high cost of buying books these days, etc. |
