This is becoming a pet peeve of mine on this board.
Resign = to quit
Re-sign = to sign again (as in a new contract)
Big difference. |

It's been a pet peeve for a while, but it just seems that it is turning up a lot lately.

No such term as "re-sign". Use the term "renew". |

From dictionary.com:

[ree-sahyn] Show IPA
verb (used with object), verb (used without object)
1.
to sign again.
2.
to renew or extend a contract.
Origin:
17951805
Can be confused: re-sign, resign. |
