I want my family to ship me a carton of Reese's peanut butter cups. Nothing alive, raw or fresh, just a big box of processed peanut goodness. I know others have written that the food contents of their packages were declared on the form and went by customs just fine, but would there be a problem with getting a carton of this product past them?

I don't think so. My family has sent my in-laws packages of hershey's kisses and hershey's nuggets with the nuts and fillings inside. I don't see why a package of reese's would be any different.

I'm thinking of a huge box like this.

Maybe customs will think I'm going to try to resell them or something.

Hard to say, I have seen them in black markets so you never know.

Caff, I just sent a big box of stuff to Korea. On the customs declaration part, I wrote, "Chocolate, Nuts, Candies, and Chips." It got there w/o immi messing with the package.

There is NO problem importing a small quantity (1 box) of "processed" foods (candy) into Korea.

They might look at you strange (still legal if under your duty free allowance ($400)) if you were importing a case lot (144-288 pieces) but not a simple box (24 portions).

.

Well, there'll be two boxes (regular and dark chocolate) Very Happy mixed in with various items so it looks like I need not worry.

Fresh fruits and meats aren't permitted. You are OK to carry or ship in candy and roasted nut products like peanut butter.
