Does anyone know of a way to get better water pressure out of their shower? I have one of those ones that hooks from the sink in my bathroom, but it is pretty weak. Wondering if I can get a plumber to fix it or buy some sort of insert? Thanks a lot.

This is a long shot, but it could be your problem:

In winter, many people have trouble with the water temperature in their shower, because their boilers can't heat the water fast enough. This has happened to me the past 3 winters, so this one, I told my landlord to see if we could fix it. Previously, I'd have to try to find the magic point where the water pressure balanced out with a decent temperature (b/c if less water goes through, the boiler can keep up).

The easiest way to do this was to adjust the valve at the boiler so that the flow of water into the boiler was reduced. This means that my hot water pressure is low, but at least it's hot, and I just add some cold to increase the pressure. It's not a perfect solution, but it's a big improvement on before. When the weather heats up again, I'll open the valve the whole way again.

So, check your boiler. If the water inlet valve is somewhat closed, this could be your issue.

are you in a smaller building (ie. 'villa')?
if so - likely no pressure tank for the building
only a gravity- fed tank located on the roof

officetel, 6th floor. I mean. its livable, but it is a pain in the ass because it barely makes it over my sink when placed in the holder. So i have to kind of bend backwards over the sink if I want to put the shower head up in its place.
