This is the best list I've seen so far as there may be more cancellations. Remember, if you do go to any of these flower festivals, that the crowds can be very large, especially at Yeouido. Area subways and restaurants become jam packed, especially around 4-6 pm.

Spring's a great time to head out of town to visit country flower festivals. After seeing cherry blossoms in Gwangju and Sansuyu blossoms in Gurye, hanging out in Yeouido around throngs of off-leash city kids couldn't really compare.

Canceled festivals means what? Less crowding & commercial hoopla. Not going to stop the flowers putting on a show!

It means you don't get to see old folks getting soused, which is kind of a hilarious part of the festival experience. It also means that you can't sample all of the awesome/weird stuff the locals make with the flower. I had some amazing sansuyu ddeok and wine last year, and then ate dinner of sansuyu makgeolli with dubu that the locals were pressing out fresh right in the tent. It was awesome! I don't normally go in for crowds, but these small-town festivals are always fun.

On the other hand, you can hike in peace without your weekend feeling like a trip to Costco.

Actually, the Yeouido crowd is more of an "ajumma-apalooza", if that's possible.

Haven't you learned by now that logic and living in Korea don't mix? Laughing
