Hi I just started the process of trying to get a job in Korea. I found a few job listings on here and responded to them via email. Less than a day later I got a call from someone named Cindy at b2corea and she said that there was a position at a school called EWAS Daechi and sent me their website link, etc.

I was wondering if anyone had any information on this school or recruiter?

Also, someone named James contacted me from gone2korea and set up a time to call me on Monday.

I was recently interviewed for a position at this school.
It sounded attractive until the supervisor turned into some kind of dictator where every word of hers indicated distrust towards all teachers.
The interview ended with her opinion on foreigners as most of them only go to korea to slack off and have an easy life and party. she has no time for that, understandable, and how she expects the foreign teachers life to be work work work. it ended with her telling me that I'm expected not to use any of the 3 designated sick days.
This lady alone has put me off this position despite being offered it.

I met a couple that worked for Daechi EWAS. They almost quit after a few months because of "some woman" at their office. I'm assuming it's the woman you are referring to. They ended up sticking it out, but barely.

I'd pass.

I never got too far with this recruiting company. I received a message from them saying that they had too many applicants at the time (mid-late December).

I concluded that:
a) the company was legitimately busy gearing up for the hiring season
OR
b) they didn't like my face or thought it unlikely that their clients would like my face

Whatever the reason, I just applied to more recruiters (I think about ten).

Waiting on my visa confirmation number now.

Best of luck to you.

I had a horrible experience with b2corea (also for an EWAS job, I think it might be a coincedence). They lied to me throughout the process, hassled me to get on a plane with no visa making me think it was possible to get one within a week (I'm 22 and the job was in China, they eventually told me I'd need to take an exam that I might not pass to get the visa).

I would be wary of them. I'm sure they don't lie to everyone, but they very nearly cost me a lot of money just to get a pulse out there fast enough.

I had good experience with B2Korea (Cindy too) and they got me my current job. Its a big office so I imagine it depends on who you talk to.
