Hello everyone at Dave's Cafe! This is my first post, so, a brief intro: I am a 27 year old caucasion male, residing in the state of MD, USA. I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology and am aspiring to secure a hagwon position in S.Korea in the next 2-3 months - hopefully! Ok, now that that's out of the way; to the original post....
Meeting/Oath at local post office and mailing of doc's - Feb. 19th
Date that info was recieved at the Dept.of State - unknown, assuming two or three days at most... basic mail (letters and forms, not packages..) from anywhere to anywhere in the US, rarely takes more than 2-4 days even standard delivery
Date that passport was recieved - unknow =not yet (haha, I know thats not very helpful to the thread, but I was anxious the do an intro and make a post...) For what its' worth however, the local postmaster informed me that here in W.MD - and maybe country-wide who knows? - passport turnaround rates are at about 3 weeks. Since today is Sunday, hence no mail, I am hopfully going to recieve it sometime next week - perhaps even tomorrow !
Anyways, I will return and post the date I DO recieve my passport - I just thought that the 3 week quote may be helpful to some - I was also informed that the closer it gets to the summer (vacation) months, the longer the lag period, but that's a no-brainer right
Glad to finally to a part of the ESL Cafe community btw! I feel so cool
= me
