I'm in GEPIK. For after classes (the non-regular classes taught after 4:00pm, usually without a co-teacher), is there a limit on the # of students?
Last year we had always operated as if there was a 20-student limit for my class, this year I'll be teaching about 40 (I believe alone) during after class. I was surprised but now - I actually don't see anything in the contract limiting it. Is that a "rule", or was it just our previous convention?
Thanks, the reason I can't actually ask any of the teachers why we had a limit of 20 last year, as everyone in the English department changed this year! And...of previous teachers I could call - it was just one who always managed things & would know, but they're far too nice and would worry a lot I konw (about the # being too high to be manageable), so I'd rather not involve them. |

No, I don't think there's a limit on number of students. I've taught afterschool classes of as many as 30 students. It sucks, I know. Rest assured that you'll probably never have all the students at once, many of them skip afterschool class. |
