I know that S.K. users love IE and don't want to change......but why have 24% of South Koreans not even upgraded to IE7, IE8 or IE9?
Have they been ignoring upgrade prompts from Microsoft since 2006 when IE7 was released??!! |

The way I understood it was that IE7 was not backwards compatible with some Korean websites developed under IE6 or lower, so they just kinda never upgraded. What incentive is there to when your entire target audience is using older, pirated versions of windows anyway? When I started my current job in 2007, my work computer was running Windows 98! It has trouble with XP. It's a P4 1.7GHz with 256MB of ram. The newest version of Ahnlab's "anti"-virus software drags the thing to a near halt when it runs a scheduled scan. |
