Ok so today I went and got a hepatitis A and B vaccine ( the first dose ) and a prescription for Xanax for the flight.

Will the RX for Xanax be a problem on my medical check? I just want to sleep on the flight.

Anybody have experience with this?

Also, I will be leaving on Friday most likely, do you guys/gals suggest anything else?

Whatever you do, don't say anything about Xanax to anyone!

I take Xanax on as as-needed basis - maybe four pills a week. After a few months, I needed to get a refill, so I needed my boss to help me translate. (I lived in a small hick town where even a lot of doctors couldn't speak English.) Anyway, since I didn't resign at that school, my annoying director gave me a bad reference. He told every curious school that I was "into drugs". But if a director hates you enough, he'll/she'll say anything.

But getting back to the story . . . When I was getting a medical check for my second contract, the doctor asked if I happened to be taking anything. I told her that I take Xanax. All of a sudden, she gets up closes the door, sits back down with a very serious look on her face. She asked, "Why are you on this drug? It's very addictive." I told her that I take it a few times a week, and I have for about 10 years. She said, "10 years? You see? You're already addicted." But then after a minute or so, she changed and said, "It's nothing to worry about many, many Koreans take this drug." She was just acting a bit weird. She could have used some sort of drugs herself.

Anyway, don't say anything to your boss, doctor for medical check, etc.

If you need to score, I mean, refill your prescription in the near future. Search through some posts or send me a PM.

I keep hearing conflicting information about this.

Most said take your Rx from your doctor and you have nothing to worry about. I'm pretty sure it will show up in a urine test.

Btw - I only take Xanax when I'm experiencing insomnia, and even then I take .25 mg.

But for the flight my doctor recommended .5 or 1 mg to basically make me fall asleep under extreme fear of flying.
