| I'd like to find a good Indian restaurant in Itaewon. Post how to get to it from the station (though I imagine most of them are probably in the back alley behind the Hamilton Hotel) thanks! |

| I definitely recommend Taj Palace! They have an excellent buffet on weekends with several dishes to choose from, including some chicken dishes and vegetable dishes. They also have a wonderful chai. I think you need to take exit 3 out of Itaewon station. The Hamilton Hotel should be across the street on your left. Now is the part I'm fuzzy on. I know exactly where it is but have a hard time explaining it because I can't remember landmarks. You need to go straight out of the exit, I think about 2 - 3 blocks. You will pass Ankara Picnic on your right and I think you will walk past KB Bank. Taj Palace is down one of the streets on the right. It's on the same street as Foreign Restaurant and the big international market. You will also see a bar called X-Toxic. Those are all across the street from Taj Palace. You will walk partway up a hill and Taj Palace is on your right. It is upstairs on the second floor. There is a lit sign in the window and some pictures outside the entrance to the stairs. I go there every time I'm in Itaewon. |

| First hint, don't eat at one of the ones in Itaewon. I've tried 3 and they all were mediocre at best. |

Don't know about the Itaewon scene, but recently a coupla Indian restaurants in the Shinchon/Hongdae area have begun making their curries "Korean friendly", i.e. dialing down the spice and dialing in an obnoxious amount of sugar...(spits and gargles)...but one of them said they'd do it "Indian-style" for me on request next time after initially playing dumb |

Mind posting their names so I know where to avoid? (Unless their Indian-Style is D-licious) |

You hittin' up Seoul a lot these days, Steel?-Yeah, the one in Shinchon escapes me at the moment ("Naan"?), but the one in Hongdae is called "Yeti", and their Indian-style back in the day was good, so may still be worthy (also good atmosphere with both tables and sprawl on the ground with cushions seating while watching Bollywood-type music vids) |

I've been to the one in the basement that's close to Burger King. It was pretty good. I also like the buffet one that's behind Hamilton. Not the one IN Hamilton; that one looks a bit expensive. I think it's close to that burger joint that Koreans go ape sh!t over.
Does it have to be Itaewon? There's one in Yongdungpo that's pretty good - Everest. I'm pretty sure there's one up in Dong Dae Moon. For the Yongdungpo one, leave exit 6, turn right, walk for about one minute. It will be on your left side, in the basement. Besides Time Square Mall, it's probably the only real reason you'd want to be around there. |

I think so. I just know it's on the same street as Foreign Restaurant and the big International Market. It's also the same street that Whatthebook used to be on before it moved if you happen to have been there then. |

| My buddy who grew up in India gives a ringing endorsement to the place next to Burger King in Itaewon, I forget the name. I really enjoy it there. |

| If you're ever in Hwajeong, they make pretty awesome food at Mother of India. I'm a big fan, it's a bit pricey but really good! Their menu is pretty decent, a bit expensive and it's not a buffet. It's worth the trip, especially if you're living out near Ilsan or within the Goyang area. |

The one in Itaewon next to Burger King is called "Agra" I think. Over the years, Everest in Dongdaemun seems to have had the most positive overall reviews. I've had some solid meals at Namaste, just outside of Dongmyo station as well.
Moghul (sp) is the place behind the Hamilton Hotel, and while it's decent, is WAY overpriced. 19,000 for a curry dish? That's almost double what other places in Seoul charge. |
