Some people were dumbfounded as to why some E-2 visa holders filed human rights complaints about HIV/AIDS being required of only E-2 visa holders but I wonder whether one person who works for the National Jobless Peoples Association understands human rights.
Maybe its not so strange that so many suffer from depression and some choose to commit suicide in despair, said Chu Duk-han, head of the National Jobless Peoples Association. The basic human rights of young jobseekers are often neglected. They have to overcome hardships as they experience a lot of rejection in the job-seeking process and at the same time must deal with financial difficulties.
Is it a human right for young job-seekers to not face hardships, be rejected, and not have financial difficulties? I think all or most job-seekers face the same difficulties.
And is Mr. Chu somehow condoning suicide a tad in his first quote?
"Young jobseekers in dire straits"

continued...
"A bill to reform the current unemployment insurance system was proposed by Rep. Hong Young-pyo of the main opposition Democratic Party last March, but its still pending.
The government maintains a careful stance on the issue, saying there are many things to consider in order to offer unemployment compensation to non-insurance subscribers."
"Things to consider" Let's see...How much money can they get from English teachers who can never receive benefits $$$ ?
Maybe the "dire straits" of young Korean jobseekers is why some native English teachers are now having to pay into unemployment insurance -- the Korean government wants to pay every Korean Tom, Dick, and Harry(English teachers need not apply) money who have never had a job or paid into the system. |
