So far all the noraebangs I've been to seem to have pretty much the same selection of songs. I want some new stuff! Can anybody give suggestions?
particularly interested in anywhere that has more than the normal hip hop tracks or even a smattering of reggae or latin music? |

I've been to more than a few noraebangs in my time here, and they all have the same playlist--give or take a few songs. |

| Yep, they all use the same one, maybe two different services that provide the songs. |

Korea really needs to upgrade to Karaoke tracks that are recorded by studio musicians. They're much more fun to sing along too. As a musician, I'm tired of all this MIDI crap that they pull. |

| The providers are quite different. Some of them have a crappy synth wanna be instrumental while others have the real instrumental. |

Where have you seen places with real instruments? Thanks. |

Hard to remember because of drinking, but there's several. My guess would be the more upscale places have the real ones, like the major ones in Hongdae or Gangnam, or if you're lucky a room salon
The small ones in your local neighborhood are more likely to have the cheap ones that are just synth versions. |
