I'm sure it's not really expected (or is it), but have do any of you given anything to your co-teachers or students on White Day? I don't really mean something in a romantic way or anything (definitely not for the students), but in a just for fun way.

its a romantic holiday, so if you give a gift there will be 'romantic' miscommunucation

Did you receive anything on Valentines Day? It might be nice to return the favour....

It's definitely not expected.

My understanding of the day is this:
Girl(s) give guy(s) chocolate on Valentine's Day.
Guy(s) gives girl(s) usually a non-chocolate gift on White Day.
I think gift giving is only expected on White Day if you received something on Valentine's Day.
If you gave or got nothing on both days, you celebrate April 14th by eating ja-jang-myeon aka black noodles, for Black Day.

Actually, South Korea has these kinds of quasi romantic holidays every month. The only big ones though are Valentine's, White, and Pepporo Day.

I find Pepporo Day to be the most gift giving one, but that's mainly because there are more students/teachers around at that time. It's also linked with friendship rather than romance.

That depends...are you romantically involved with your co-teachers and/or students?
