|
|
Hello!
My friend and I are thinking about organizing a nice flea market in our area in the next few months.
We are wondering, would this be a no-no with our E2 visa's, or would it not matter? I'm not sure that immigration would really even know about it, but just to be on the safe side, thought I'd get some advice here. |

If you do anything else that would make you money or looks like it could make you money you're going to run into trouble. |

Honestly, nobody cares.
Also, there are flea markets in Seoul that you can open a booth or set out a rug to sell crap at...particulary in Dongdaemun.
The one at Platoon kunsthalle is pretty awesome....some foreigners also sell stuff there. |

He didn't say he wanted to go down and sell something one saturday. He said he wanted to organize one. That's a far different venture with different exposure. |

It still falls outside of what's allowed under an E-2 visa. Volunteering is illegal if you're on an E-2 visa. I've known people who were deported for volunteering. |

volunteering is perfectly legal on an E-2, it should be registered though.
I never said it was legal, read my initial post. |

I always hear about (unregistered) volunteering being illegal, but haven't found any cases. Can you provide some details about this, I'm genuinely curious. |
