My school covers 50% of medical insurance, but I want something more comprehensive that will cover me when I travel outside of Korea as well. Any suggestions? Best travel insurance with the most bang for my buck?
*Sorry if this has already been addressed--I couldn't find anything recent on the topic. |

I don't know if it's the most bang for your buck, but worldnomads.com is cheap and convenient to get. |

Just remember, TRAVEL insurance only covers TRAVELING. If you're here in Korea working, that is NOT traveling. If you want extra insurance to cover you IN Korea as well as outside of Korea, then you want something besides travel insurance. |

World nomads will cover you if you are on a working visa in a country - read their fine print. I used their insurance whilst working at a ski resort in the US (i'm Australian) and had a great experience with them when I got injured.
I found their price for a year long policy reasonable, but then I was insuring myself against US medical costs, not South Korea. Personally I am happy with the school insurance here. |
