|
|
I'm not talking 3-4 strands, I mean maybe 20 or more. I was fine until last year, yeah, I saw a couple, but now my temples are starting to go pretty gray. A little depressing
New sporadic gray hair is starting to crop up all over the sides of my head now, too. But these past 6 months it has really been coming out. I think more gray hair has grown in the past year than all of my 20's put together. Im turning 30 in May.
Remember, I'm not talking a few strands-and I'm also not talking about half your head.
When was your first realization: "Damn, I'm starting to get gray!" |

I've been cursed with the early balding of my father's side and the premature graying of my mother's side. If only it had been the other way around since my father's side kept their hair color until late in life and my mother's side never went bald. Stupid genes. |

I'm a bit curious. I've had 1-2 grays since I was about 25, and now I'm 30 and I have maybe 3 grays in a spot where there was only 1. So I don't know when I'm going to have to start covering it up. My aunt went gray in her late 30's, I think.
Guys.. gray haired women: hot or not? |

sorry, but i vote not... unless it's something cool like rogue from the xmen. there was this girl when i was in middle school who had a grey streak. i thought she was hot because of it. but if you're going grey like a grandma goes grey... then not hot. |

I thought so I can't think of a single hot/sexy woman who's gray, either. Basically, going gray means giving up that sort of identity. My poor aunt, her face stayed so young, but her hair got so gray.
That's why there's hair dye!
Guys... if you were dating a pretty woman with a young face, and then found out somehow that she had to dye her hair to keep from looking like grandma... would it gross you out? Is this the sort of thing not to disclose to a guy until you're married? |

if i was dating a girl and she started going grey, i don't think i'd be able to see it objectively.
like, my gf shaved her head, and i think it's sexy that a girl can let go of that attachment. and it started growing back out and went through that awkward stage. i still thought she was beautiful, but looking back on pictures, she looked horrible. |

| I have for some reason started to grow black hair. My hair colour is light brown/dark blond and my GF have found a 4-5 completely black strands. It might be because I have never spend much time looking at my hair, and that this is the first time anyone is noticing, but I am joking that I'm turning Korean. I've never found any grey hair, but I might be losing my hair soon. I don't really care if my hair turn grey, but I would prefer not to go bald. |

| I don't usually post on here but thought this was a relevant topic for me... I was 12 when i started going gray (good ol family genetics^^) and have been colouring it since high school. I stopped during uni for a few years but it does make me look much older so i have been colouring it ever since. Now my hair is pretty much white not gray which means that i have to do the roots every 3 weeks because it shows up too much against the medium brown colour. |

It's hard to say how much of my husband's hair is gray at this point (he's 29) because he keeps his hair very, very short and it's a sort of light brown color anyway. His beard seems to get more and more gray with each passing day.
I think it can look handsome. I'm going to try to get him to wear corduroy jackets and then I'll call him "professor."
I have no idea when women in my family will go gray as my mum was coloring her hair since I was a baby. A streak would look good but anything past that and I will be bottling it up for sure. |

I wouldn't have a problem with it. I think it's like getting plastic surgery on eyes, nose etc. I draw the line at boob jobs, though. |

I got a tiny patch of grey on the side of my head a couple years ago. Like 5-7 white hairs all growing together. I pulled them out.
They haven't grown back and I haven't gotten any more. Must have gotten hit on the head or something. I don't remember. |
